"Connecting students to God, to each other, and to the world..."

Our Mission

The Simple Way, the student ministry of Cross Pointe Ocala, exists to connect middle school and high school students to God, to each other,  and to the world.

Our Vision

We want to actively live out the Great Commandment by loving God and loving others and the Great Commission by making disciples and reaching out to the world. Our student ministry has a place for any and all students, regardless of their past, their culture, their socioeconomic status, their background, or their belief.

We Are Followers of Jesus who:

- have found an approach to God through the life of Jesus Christ.
- invite all people to participate in our community without insisting that they become like us in order to be acceptable including believers and agnostics; committed Christians and skeptics; guys and girls; those of all cultures, classes, identities; and those who hope for a better world and those who have lost hope.
- know that the way we behave towards each other and the world is the greatest expression of what we believe.
- equip one another for the work we are called to do - striving for peace and justice of all people and bringing hope to the world.

Small Groups

Small groups are the key to growing to become like Jesus. On Wednesdays, we meet together, breaking out into small groups to discuss the Bible and how it specifically relates to our lives.  We have a lot of fun, laugh a great deal, and learn tons of stuff!

Fun

No student ministry would be complete without ample opportunities for fun! We as a group have had water days at the beach, tubed down rivers, gone bowling, visited theme parks, and pretty much enjoyed what North Central Florida has to offer. Contact us at the office for some of the latest goings-on!

The Here and Now

Almost all teenagers have heard those words - “you’re too young” or “you’re not ready for that.” Unfortunately these words have been far too often heard in the history of the church.

At Cross Pointe Ocala, we do not believe that middle school and high school students are the “future” of our church. We believe they are the present - the here and now. We strive to teach them about the simple way (not the “easy way”) of faith in something so much larger than anything this world has to offer, of a God who loves them and who wants them to interact with the world so that the world can also know about the simple way of Jesus.

Our students meet at the home of Dana and Karen Schmidt at 1210 SE 52nd Street, Ocala, FL at from 7-8:30 p.m. every Wednesday night.
